Dr. Carolina Valdivia is leading the undocuBasic Needs project team, which consists of graduate and undergraduate research assistants, and consultants with expertise in resource creation and graphic design.

We recently published a research report featuring key findings from 106 in-depth interviews with students across the country.
Resources
We created a series of resource pages to help undocumented college students, and those in mixed-status families, find support.
Presentations
We have shared our findings with various audiences, including staff, faculty, and students.

- Educational experiences of undocumented college students and those in mixed-status families, including those with or without access to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
- Challenges that this segment of the student population encounters when trying to access services related to their food and housing
- What it means to broaden our understanding of students’ basic needs to include other essentials such as legal services, health support, transportation resources, and more.
